“Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it”
This is a quote from Charles R. Swindoll and I’d like to be more moderate and say it’s maybe more 50%-50%, but still it could not apply more to me right now… and probably a lot of you as well!!
I swear I’ve made all these plans recently and organized everything… then life is like ‘good planning, but no.’
I was so sad but instead of letting it get to me, I just had to remember that had to rest (my least favorite thing to do).
And I also try to get to my daily affirmations. If you follow me here you know what I’m talking about, because I post them every other week or something. And it really depends on what I feel like I need for the day. Do I need to practice gratitude or just practice patience and stuff like that. Today I feel like I need to remind myself that it’s okay to slow down because I’m really bad at this right now. So:
My productivity does not define my worth.
It’s okay to rest.
Everything isn’t always going to go exactly how you want it to, but you just have to roll with it and make lemonade out of lemons.
And I usually repeat it in my head but sometimes I say it out loud. It really helps. And people who say that this does not help you’re lying lol. But for me, it helps because it puts things into perspective for me, gets me in the right mindset, and lets me focus on things that are important for me.
